Why choose a Paralegal?
Paralegals provide Ontarians with an affordable option to legal services and representation. They are regulated, just like lawyers, by the Law Society of Ontario.
Paralegals can provide representation and advice on a limited scope of legal services, including:
Small claims court cases for money owed or property damage up to $35,000;
Criminal offences, such as assault, causing a disturbance and theft under $5,000;
Tribunals, including the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB), Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO) and the Social Benefits Tribunal (SBT);
Provincial Offences Court violations (i.e., traffic or municipal by-law violations);
Notary Public Services
You may wish to visit the Law Society of Ontario's website to learn more about how paralegals can advise and support you in your legal matters.
